While the main Festival is bringing the Galle Fort area to life, we’ve crafted a whole mini Lit Fest for our younger festivalgoers. We are once again working with Thomas Gall School to host the MAS Galle Children’s Programme on Saturday 14 th and Sunday 15 th of January. We have worked extensively with all of our presenters to develop a fun and engaging workshop programme which is tailored to three individual groups: ages 5-7, 8-11 and 12-14 years. Starting with warm up sessions by MAS Eco Go Beyond, every element of this programme has been designed to meet the different needs of each group. The 2017 Programme is packed with big names from the Festival itself, showcasing a dazzling array of talents and specialities and ensuring a full experience for our budding learners: from storyboarding to performance poetry, theater play to writing songs, drawing comics to demystifying magic tricks. This programme is ticketed and prior bookings are required, there will be refreshments and lunch supplied in the breaks. In line with the sustainable ethos of the MAS Eco Go Beyond Workshops, we will be minimising packaging waste in all refreshments supplied. Children need to be dropped off and picked up from TGS (364/A Morris Road, Galle). This is set to be a highly engaging weekend for children.

Our Saturday Programme runs from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. and includes lunch and snacks. The day will conclude with a magic performance by India’s most popular magician, Neel Madhav, who will also be doing workshops for each age group on Sunday.
